    No. Loadsmart has an online booking mechanism that provides instant booking for most lanes. For the lanes that do not have instant booking available, you will be able to request a call from a representative to get a fast, hassle-free quote.

    We are unable to offer the instant booking feature for lanes with low volume. However, we can give you a spot quote, and you can request to speak to a Loadsmart representative to get a final pricing, which may be a bit higher or lower than the original spot quote.

    For most lanes, Loadsmart has a cut-off time of 1 p.m. the day before pick up.

    The only information you need to enter are the pickup and delivery addresses, dates, commodity and weight. Additional information will be asked after you book.

    If you do not provide the necessary information, your shipment status will be marked as pending. In order for your freight to be moved, you need to return to the platform to complete your booking information as soon as possible.

    Absolutely. Our platform relies on the Stripe platform to process credit cards. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification available.

    You can see the map location of your shipment online at anytime. Loadsmart also keeps you informed by sending you email updates.

We also offer simple and free fleet management tools for all carriers.

    You don’t need to post your trucks. We will send Instant Loads directly to your Loadsmart dashboard and email based on data analysis of your current and historical truck locations. You may want to use the Truck Calendar in your Fleet page to manage where your trucks are and where they will be. Although this is not mandatory, it is an easy way to manage your trucks and we’d also take that information into account to send you the best loads.

    Of course! Owner-operators are welcome to use Loadsmart to increase their business. You can download the Loadsmart Instant Loads App to check out our instant loads from your smartphone.

    All you have to do is sign-up with your MC number at Loadsmart.com, click on the verification link we send to your email and upload the proper documents after logging in. We will ask you to upload your Insurance Certificate, Letter of Authority and W-9. We may take few minutes to review it, and afterwards you are ready to accept a job!

    Where do I find loads? What is an “Instant Load”?

    You can find all of our available loads in the Book Now tab after you sign up. You can also download the Loadsmart Instant Loads app after signing up at Loadsmart.com. We send you loads based on data analysis of your past behaviour, as well as current and future truck locations and preferences. We call it “Instant Loads” because they are displayed in real-time as soon as we receive a shipment order, and you can accept the job instantly with just one click. We also send out emails and mobile push notifications to alert you of any Instant Loads that match your profile.

    Although in most occasions prices and conditions are set, in some instances we may be able to accommodate adjustments to the load in order to work with a partner carrier. Use the Chat functionality in the Instant Loads page to contact our operations department and inquiry about the load details and potential adjustments.

    After you accept an instant load, the system will ask you for your driver information, payment options and empty truck location (“MT location”). The driver you have assigned to the shipment will receive a text message on his smartphone with an invitation to download the Loadsmart Driver App. You have to make sure your driver clicks on the message's link to download it. The driver needs to use the Loadsmart app during the whole shipment to check for the PO number, trigger detention start time, update status, upload BOL, etc. The App makes both the driver’s and dispatcher’s life much easier.

    It makes both dispatcher’s and driver’s lives easier. Driver can use the app to check PO numbers, exact addresses, appointment times, special instructions for each stop and other shipment information. Driver must use the check-in status update in the app to qualify for eventual detention payments. The app allows drivers to upload the BOL electronically, so payment occurs faster and less paperwork is needed. Finally, the app decreases the number of track and trace emails and phone calls among Loadsmart, dispatchers and drivers, as location and ETA can be calculated via the app.
